Hardy to continue discussion of early Midcoast roads

Aug 08, 2017

Hope — The August meeting of the Hope Historical Society will be held at the Hope Historical Society's house at 479 Camden Road, Hope Corner Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 7 p.m.

Kerry Hardy will be the evening's speaker. He will discuss his extensive and continuing study of early roads in the Maine Midcoast area. Understanding of how people were able to move about in this area beginning in its heavily forested days and the early years of settlement is essential to our understanding of the history of the Midcoast, and Hardy presents very interesting insights on this topic.

The public is welcome, and there will be time to talk with Hardy following the meeting over light refreshments.
