The Camden Public Library’s September book sale under the tents will run for four days.

The Camden Public Library’s September book sale under the tents will run for four days as part of the fall Harbor Arts and Books Fair. Thousands of books, CDs and DVDs divided into over 25 categories will be on sale beginning Thursday, Sept. 27, and running through Sunday, Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day except Sunday, when the sale will close at 4 p.m.

The library has recently benefited from several large donations of titles, and because of those donations, books in the biography and history sections will be sold under the “Buy One, Get One Free” banner for the entire four-day sale. Another BOGO category will be added each day starting Friday; those sale categories will not be announced ahead of time; they will be unveiled at the start of each day of the sale. In addition to all of the books that will be found under the tents, the library has also collected a great variety of music on CDs, movies and TV shows on DVDs, and audio books on CDs.

Generally, hardcover books are $3, trade paperbacks are $2, and mass market paperbacks are $1. Children’s books range from 50 cents to $2 each. Special books will be priced individually. Audio books are $3 each, music CDs and movie DVDs are $2.

The supply of books will be refreshed continually during the sale. All of the funds raised at the book sale will be used to purchase new books and to support children and adult programming at the Camden Public Library.
