Hall, local businessman, recognized by Legislature

Waldoboro — State Sen. Dana Dow, R-Waldoboro, representing the members of the Senate and House of Representatives, joined in recognizing Michael Hall, owner of Hall Funeral Homes, for receiving the Business Person of the Year Award from the Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce. Hall founded Karl’s Kids, a nonprofit program of the Damariscotta-Newcastle Rotary Club, helping Lincoln County youth get involved in athletics and outdoor pursuits by providing equipment needed to participate. Karl’s Kids has helped more than 1,200 children in the past 10 years since its founding.

Dow presented a certificate from the Senate and House of Representatives extending to Hall their congratulations and best wishes in an official expression of sentiment. The senator personally congratulated Hall for his active involvement in the Lincoln County community through business and volunteerism.
