Oct 13, 2017

Rockland — Citizens’ Climate Lobby invites Midcoast Maine residents concerned about climate change to the launch of a new local chapter Thursday, Oct. 26,  from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 15 Wesley Lane. All are welcome and refreshments will be served.

During the meeting, participants will learn how to exercise their political power and build political will for climate solutions. The meeting is free, open to the public, and will be led by Peter Garrett, state coordinator for Citizens’ Climate Lobby. Once the new chapter is launched, it will meet monthly, and volunteers will work with local action teams and individuals.

Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization with more than 400 chapters focused on national policies to address climate change.
