Grand jury indicts 15, drug charges dominate list

Rockland — A Knox County grand jury indicted 15 people Monday, July 7, on charges ranging from sexual assault to aggravated heroin trafficking.

Josiah Bernardo, 18, of Hope is charged with gross sexual assault for contact with a victim who was not yet age 14.

Samuel P. Jordan, 34, an inmate at the Maine State Prison, trafficking in prison contraband and unlawful possession of oxycodone.

Stephen Devon Kirkley, 22, an inmate at the Maine State Prison, assault on an officer.

Zachary S. Diffin, 37, an inmate at the Maine State Prison, trafficking in prison contraband, unlawful possession of cocaine.

Michael Jason Huntley, 28, an inmate at the Maine State Prison, attempted trafficking in prison contraband, trafficking in prison contraband, namely Suboxone and/or burenorphine.

Jeffrey H. Dorr Jr., 33, of Opelika, Ala., failure to appear and violation of condition of release.

Brandon L. Carleton, 20, of Rockland, domestic violence assault, domestic violence terrorizing.

Troy D. Jackson, 47, of Union, operating after revocation.

Clair W. Mitchell, 36, of Lincolnville, eluding an officer, two counts of criminal operating under the influence, two counts of operating after suspension, failure to stop for an officer, driving to endanger, criminal speed, refusing to submit to arrest, two counts of operating beyond license condition or restriction.

Cleveland O'Neal Cruthirds, 27, an inmate at the Maine State Prison, assault on an officer.

Teresa L. Thomas, 43, of Augusta, theft by unauthorized taking for reportedly stealing a television from Walmart.

Jacob West, 28, of Rockland, unlawful possession of heroin.

Joseph Zak, 30, of Camden, three counts aggravated trafficking in heroin,three counts of  unlawful trafficking of heroin, two counts of unlawful possession of Suboxone and oxycodone.

Kevin Defoe, 25, of Camden, unlawful possession of oxycodone.

Dedrick Huff, 45, of Washington, two counts of unlawful trafficking in cocaine, unlawfully furnishing cocaine, unlawfully trafficking oxymorphone, unlawful trafficking in methadone, unlawful possession of oxymorphone, unlawful possession of methadone, unlawful possession of Suboxone, operating under the influence.
