Camden — Fresh off her United Kingdom tour with Jerry Douglas for the Transatlantic Sessions and dates with guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel, platinum-selling country songstress Suzy Bogguss will perform Saturday, April 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the downtown Camden Opera House.

Audiences can expect an intimate night of music backed by her new trio comprising some of Nashville’s finest players. The show will include Bogguss’ memorable radio hits such as “Outbound Plane,” “Drive South,” “Hey Cinderella” and “Aces,” as well as songs from her latest albums “Lucky,” celebrating the songwriting of Merle Haggard; “American Folk Songbook”; and “Aces Redux,” a new acoustic take on her platinum-selling album from 1991. Fans can look forward to hearing new material as well, as she is debuting originals for the first time since her Top 5 jazz album “Sweet Danger.”

Bogguss last performed in Camden in September 2015, for the annual Windjammer Festival. In addition to Camden, her Maine visit will include a show the night before at the Stone Mountain Arts Center.

“I can’t wait to play in Camden! I just love performing in Maine; I was there a couple years ago and am so excited to get back,” she said. “The guys in my band say that my set list is just a suggestion … if I feel like the audience wants to hear a particular song or if there’s a request, I am happy to shift gears.”

Bogguss is currently writing and preparing for her next album, as well as continuing to play with her trio; and with Chicks with Hits, a new tour with fellow queens of country Pam Tillis and Terri Clark.

Tickets for the Camden Opera House range from $32 to $36. To purchase tickets, visit camdenoperahouse.com.
