Thomaston — Gloria Jean Lorleberg, 60, passed away Sept. 18, 2019, at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport. Gloria was born Oct. 19, 1958, the daughter of Henry Soth and Doris (Fisher) Soth in Baltimore.

She grew up in Hampden, Md., attended Baltimore schools and graduated from Seton High School.

She went on to nursing school because of her love for the field. She worked in Maryland hospitals as a registered nurse as well as at Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta and Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport. She also worked at Kno-Wal-Lin as a hospice nurse. She was a hard worker.

When not working, Gloria enjoyed sewing and also creating quilts. She was a strong, detail-oriented person, as well as a loving, caring and compassionate person. Fondly called “The Boss.” She always asked for the best from people (family and friends).

She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Doris Soth, as well as her Aunt Ethel and Aunt Rosie.

Gloria is survived by her husband of 40 years, Thomas Lorleberg of Thomaston; her daughters, Valerie Lorleberg of Thomaston and Bridget Franz of Maryland; brother Brent Soth of Bellview, Fla.; grandchildren Kortnee and Jacob Franz of Maryland and Zachary Morgan; and many other friends and family.

Funeral services for Gloria will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 150 Broadway, Rockland, with Fr. Robert Vaillencourt officiating. Interment will be held at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta following the service.
