Girl scouts Addie McPhail and Lydia Myers, on behalf of the Knox Girl Scouts, delivered baby items to Noah and Alexis Mank.

Girl Scouts of Knox Service Unit celebrate their founder, Juliette Gordon Low, every year around her birthday, Oct. 31. For 12 years the group has collected baby items to be donated to the baby girl born at Pen Bay Medical Center closest to Low’s birthday. This year the group had to wait almost a week for the future girl scout to arrive. On Nov. 5, at 4:04 p.m., Sophia Grace Mank arrived. On Nov. 6, girl scouts Addie McPhail and Lydia Myers, on behalf of the Knox Girl Scouts, delivered the collected items and presented them to Noah and Alexis Mank. The family said that Sophia’s mom was a girl scout, as was her dad's sister.
