The ladies of Girl Scout Troop 1342 in Rockland had a very busy and fun Fall. The Troop celebrated our founder, Juliette Low's birthday and worked on their Girl Scout Way badge. Each scout invited a friend to the birthday party and asked everyone to bring a donation for the Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County.

The Troop completed their Philanthropist badge and participated in two Community Service projects while working on this badge. The girls wanted to help a family for Thanksgiving, so each of the girls brought in a donation and they put together a thanksgiving box for a family in need. The girls finished up this badge by holding a clothing drive benefiting The Kings Closet.

Girl Scouts is for girls grades K-12, with Troops located all throughout Maine. If your daughter is interested in joining Girl Scouts, or to volunteer, please contact Patti Montana, Membership Manager at Girl Scouts of Maine (207)-772-1177or at
