Tenants Harbor — Ann Getsinger will present an exhibit of oil paintings Friday through Wednesday, July 13 through 18, at The Granite Gallery, 68 Main St./Route 131. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily; the public is invited to an opening day reception from 4 to 7 p.m.

In two series, Mosquito island and The Wandering Shoreline, Getsinger will exhibit her work on the St. George peninsula for the first time, following many years of working part-time in Martinsville. She will be on site during the six-day show.

Getsinger’s new series, The Wandering Shoreline, comprises 17 paintings that relate to the shoreline from Martinsville to Port Clyde and across to Monhegan. With titles such as “Fog Jewels,” “Horse Point” and “Mackerel Orb,” this horizontal flow of work references both her personal layers of experience and the area’s art and literature.

The artist’s work has been shown at Frost Gulley Gallery in Freeport, at Wiscasset Bay Gallery and Dowling Walsh Gallery in Rockland; and hangs in many collections across the country. She currently is represented at Arundel Farm Gallery in Kennebunk, where she has a “New Work” exhibit opening July 19. The artist works in both New Marlborough, Mass., and Martinsville.
