Rockland — The new Gallery 440 — at 440 Main St. — invites art walkers and the community at large to its grand opening. There will be a ribbon cutting Friday, July 7, at 4 p.m. Gallery 440 will remain open to 8 p.m., celebrating its first First Friday Art Walk with light refreshments.

Gallery 440 features many local artists and a variety of media, from coastal/local oil and water paintings to stunning local photography, handmade jewelry, pottery and locally handcrafted wooden bowls. The gallery is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by appointment.
