Galleries 338 debuts with ‘Perspectives’

Rockland — Galleries 338 will open its inaugural exhibition “Perspectives in American Art” Friday, July 6, during the First Friday Art Walk from 5 to 8 p.m. Gallery owners Peter Clarke of Clarke Gallery, Newburyport; and Keith Oehmig of the Wiscasset Bay Gallery have joined their knowledge and experience in the art world to create a unique collaboration.

The opening show will feature American artists from the 19th through 21st centuries and will include works by Marsden Hartley, John Marin, Louise Nevelson, Bruce Crane, George Grosz, John Folinsbee, Andrew Winter, William Kienbusch and many others.

Clarke and Oehmig are excited to embark on this new venture and look forward to being a part of the dynamic art scene. Galleries 338, 338 Main St, will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 751-1193.
