Thomaston — There has been a musician switch for the monthly contra dance Saturday, Jan. 26, at 8 p.m. in the Thomaston Academy gym. Music will be provided by Twisted Strings featuring Michele Roy on fiddle and Will West on guitar and bouzouki.

Gregory Moore of Cushing will teach and call the full-moon night of dancing. All ages are welcome; no partner is needed; and refreshments are free, as is admission for children — others will be asked for $8 at the door.

The Thomaston Academy building, which houses the town’s public library, is at 60 Main St./Route 1 with parking in the rear of the building, off Gleason Street. For more information, call 832-5584 or 701-7015 to look for the Thomaston Contradancers Facebook page.
