Friendship — Twenty-two people showed up at the Hahn Community Center during the snowstorm March 19 for the Friendship Town Meeting.

Along with appointed Deputy Moderator John Black, all voted as the first order of business to adjourn the meeting and reschedule it for Thursday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m.

"I'm very proud of the decision," said Town Clerk Joel Fearn. "It shows the townspeople feel it is important to allow everyone the opportunity to take part in the town meeting."

The meeting will be held at Hahn Community Center in Friendship.

Just a comment since I don't live anywhere near Friendship. Does state law allow a town meeting to be re-scheduled without a 7 day publicly posted notice? Just trying to help avoid a possible legal issue.
