Fresh Restaurant, Camden’s newest American contemporary dining experience, located in Bay View Landing, has been recently awarded the AAA Three Diamond Rating.
A well-respected rating system for restaurants throughout North America, AAA Diamond-rated eating establishments must meet a number of requirements based on cleanliness, comfort, quality and service. AAA rated restaurants are awarded diamonds based on feedback from industry experts and an onsite inspection, and all restaurants with an AAA rating are approved based on the standards developed for the program.
Criteria for a Three-Diamond rated restaurant is as follows:
A Three Diamond restaurant typically employs a professional chef and a supporting staff of highly-trained cooks. The menu is skillfully prepared and often reflects interpretations of the latest trends or a mastering of traditional cuisine. Typically, there are expanded offerings of beverages in complement to the menu, such as international/regional wines, specialty beers, cocktails and soft drinks. A professional dining room manager leads a complement of efficient service staff. The service reflects a high degree of refinement, such as reservations accepted, personal assistance or the ability to adapt to the guest's specific needs. The décor reflects the use of well-coordinated design mediums that provide a distinct theme and good comfort. Restaurants at this level convey an entry into fine dining.
Owners Stuart and Marianne Smith are honored by the distinction. "Since we opened Fresh this spring, we've made service and quality a top priority," notes Stuart Smith. Stuart continues, "We're delighted to be recognized by this well-respected system and  I am particularly proud of our management team, Jessica Duffy (GM), and Bobby Bowen (Assistant GM) for being instrumental in the success of Fresh and the recent AAA Three Diamond rating.
