Free films for Wildlife Refuge Week

“Forever Wild: Celebrating America's Wilderness” captures the glory of undeveloped, wild places.

Rockland — Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge celebrates National Wildlife Refuge Week with lunchtime film screenings at its Visitor Center, 9 Water St.

Films will be shown Tuesday through Friday, Oct. 10 through 13, from to noon to approximately 1:10 p.m. They are: Tuesday, “Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time” (2011, USA/Mexico); Wednesday, "Forever Wild: Celebrating America’s Wilderness” (2009, USA); Thursday, “Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring” (1993, USA); and Friday, “American Values, American Wilderness” (2005, USA).
