Nov 30, 2017

Camden — Quarry Hill and Camden Public Library invite adults age 50-plus to take a break from the hustle-bustle of the holiday season and enjoy a relaxing look back at Four Centuries of Christmas in New England, a free, educational presentation set for Wednesday, Dec. 13, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the library.

The program is part of Quarry Hill’s popular Adventures in Living Well series and will be cosponsored by the Camden library. Snow date is Dec. 20.

Speaker Kenneth Turino’s illustrated talk will take listeners back to the 1600s, revealing the surprising transformations that have continuously shaped and reshaped the region’s yuletide celebrations. Turino is manager of community engagement and exhibitions for Historic New England, a nonprofit organization based in Boston.
