Fireside Worship at Nativity Lutheran

Nativity Lutheran Church, 179 Old County Road in Rockport, invites the public to “Worship by the Fire” on Tuesday, August 13th at 6:30 p.m.

Many times in scripture God revealed God’s-self in fire: speaking to Moses from the burning bush; leading the Israelites via the pillar of fire; and through tongues of fire at Pentecost. Summertime is a great time to sit around the fire and worship!

Gathered around the fire, we’ll join in songs, hear stories, and lift our voices in prayer. We will also be fed: spiritually around the fire with Holy Communion, and physically with yummy dessert when worship is over.

The fire will burn until we are ready to head home, and there will be lawn games like life-size Jenga, bocce ball, and Kubb (pronounced ‘KOOB’) a Swedish lawn game said to have been played all the way back in the Viking ages.

Please bring a lawn chair or blanket. All are welcome!
