Rockland — Firefighters from Rockland, Thomaston and Rockport rescued two people and a dog after a boat overturned on Chickawaukie Pond June 13.

A girl, a man and their dog were plunged into the lake when their catamaran-style boat flipped over. Fire Chief Chris Whytock said no one was injured, but they were cold.

Firefighters took a boat out to rescue the trio.

At least she was wearing one, Susan.  The updated ones are extremely expensive and some can not afford them but at least they buy them for their kids, regardless of how they look.

Life jacket looks a tad outdated, much safer ones out there, hope they had one on the dog.
