Final Cash for Clothes sale takes place Oct. 26 through 28

Sep 26, 2019

Camden — After 45 years of staging semi-annual, quality used clothing sales for the benefit of Coastal Opportunities, the organizers of Cash for Clothes are closing up shop. The group’s 90th - and final - Cash for Clothes Sale will be held Saturday, Oct. 26 through Monday, Oct. 28, at the American Legion Hall, 91Pearl St. in Camden. The Saturday sale is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday’s bag sale is from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Those wishing to donate clothing to the sale can bring gently used items to the Corcoran Center, at 35 Limerock St. in Camden, no later than Monday, Oct. 7. Since this is the last sale, no donations will be accepted after Oct. 7. This final sale will feature clothing for all seasons, not just fall and winter apparel. The final sale will also feature a pop-up “AB Boutique,”offering fine-quality apparel donated by The Admiral’s Buttons.

Those wishing to sell clothing at the final Cash for Clothes sale must pre-register. Clothing will be sold on a 50/50 basis, with half of the profit going to the seller and half to Coastal Opportunities. Do not bring your clothing to sell to pre-registration.

For more information, including preregistration dates and times, visit, the ‘Cash for Clothes to benefit Coastal Opportunities’ Facebook page, call Nancy Wolfertz at 594-5429, or call Coastal Opportunities at 236-6008.
