Family fun at the Camden Opera House

By Camden Opera House | Jul 25, 2019

“Preposterous!”, a free-wheeling “pocket circus” by the acclaimed touring troupe Happenstance Theater, will come to the air-conditioned Camden Opera House stage Saturday, July 27, at 6 p.m.

“Preposterous!” offers the perfect summer entertainment for families. Happenstance’s charming vintage clowns play circus animals, sing as a human calliope, do the classic circus Mirror Routine, invent a number of ridiculous "entrées," perform live music and execute a very satisfying slow-motion number involving, yes, a pie.

Show time and ticket prices are designed to make it easy for families to have fun together, enjoying live entertainment in the beautiful downtown opera house. Tickets are just $10 for adults, $5 for kids age 5-18 and $1 for those younger. For advance tickets, visit; call 236-7963; or visit the Town Office weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tickets will be available at the opera house box office beginning 5 p.m.
