Rockland — F&A's Market plans to open a store May 1 at the former Crossroads Market in Rockland.

F&A operates a store at 495 Main St., Route 1, in Thomaston.

F&A is a convenience and grocery store as well as a cafe. The new store will be called F&A's at Crossroads.

The site in Rockland is located at the intersection of North Main and Birch streets.

The former Crossroads closed Jan. 10. The site had been a convenience store since at least 1957, according to city records.

Kevin Merry, who grew up in Thomaston and now lives in southern New Hampshire, purchased the property from Global Partners in January.

Plans have been filed with the Rockland Code Office.

Congrats Forest&Ann. Have known you as hard workers ever since we met and travelled to Fenway park together. Wish you great success with this new endeavor. Way to go!
