Evening with Maine Mystery Writers

Thomaston — Thomaston Public Library will host an evening with Maine crime writers Lea Wait and Barbara Ross Wednesday, July 19, at 7 p.m. The library is in the historic Thomaston Academy building on Main Street/Route 1.

Wait is known for her Antique Print Mystery series featuring her most recent “Shadows on a Morning in Maine”; and her Mainely Needlepoint Mystery series — the latest is  “Dangling by a Thread.” She was nominated for the Agatha Award for Best First Novel. She lives on the coast of Maine with her artist husband.

Ross is the author of the Maine Clambake Mysteries, most recently “Stowed Away” and including “Clammed Up,” “Musseled Out” and “Iced Under.” Her books have been nominated for the Agatha Awards for Best Contemporary Novel, RT Book Reviews Reviewers’ Choice Awards and the Maine Literary Award for Crime Fiction. Ross summers in Boothbay Harbor.

The Thomaston Public Library has elevator access and plenty of parking in the rear of the building. Refreshments will be served and books will be available. For more information, contact the library at 354-2453.
