Esancy, Blakeley win Select Board seats in Appleton

Appleton — Scott Esancy received the most votes in a three-way race for two seats on the Select Board.

Esancy received 185 votes in the June 8 election.

Marci Moody Blakely received 176, also winning a seat.

Incumbent John Fenner trailed with 100 votes.

Residents voted in favor of all of the town meeting warrant items and school budget items.

The Animal Control ordinance question passed by a vote of 168-103.

The carbon emissions question passed by a vote of 140-131.

Elizabeth Grierson and Stephen Wadsworth were elected to the school board.
