Hood River, Ore. — Eric Thivierge, 38 years old, passed away March 30, 2019, surrounded by his family. He grew up in South Hope with his seven brothers, three sisters, and his mother and stepfather. He was a graduate of Coastal Christian School in Waldoboro.

Eric is remembered by all who knew him for his servant's heart- always putting the needs of others before his own needs. He was known as a "dream maker" to his family, friends and clients, as he transformed mundane projects into works of beauty.

Eric and his beloved dog companion, Max, traveled the world side by side. For 18 years they were inseparable, sharing adventures, making new friends and enjoying life together. His ultimate passion was spending time with family and loved ones. From raking blueberries in Cherryfield to fishing adventures with his brothers in Florida to helping family with renovation projects, or a cross-country trip with a dear friend, Eric was always there to enjoy life with those he loved. He was an old soul with an appreciation for the classics. His love of vintage poured into all his projects, especially his cherished 1978 VW bus, "Ellie Mae."

Eric also loved the outdoors. Fishing off the coast of Maine, sailing his catamaran on the Pacific coast, and diving for conch shells in Wales while backpacking across Europe were some of Eric's fond memories. Caspian, a band from his years at Gordon College, will be dedicating Eric's favorite song to him on their next tour. Eric spent time traveling with this band to the Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas., and also joined Caspian for a few shows in Europe, helping as a roadie to set up their equipment.

Eric is now in his heavenly home with his mother, Sandra Farley, and is loved and remembered on earth by his 10 siblings, Renee, Aaron, LeeAnn, Kevin, Ryan, Craig, Todd, Hannah, Kyle and Jonah; 19 nephews and nieces; his stepfather, Chandler Farley; his father, Ronald Thivierge; and many precious friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Animal Care Clinic, 1691 Tucker Road, Hood River, OR 97031.

Eric's life impacted everyone he met -- his memory will live forever in the hearts of all his family and friends. We love you, Eric
