Episcopal priest to host virtual author talk July 9

Jun 24, 2020

The Rockland Public Library will host a virtual author talk with Judith Carpenter Thursday, July 9, at 6:30 p.m. The talk will take place via the Zoom platform.

"The Uninvited Goddess: Awakening to a New Era" offers Judith Carpenter's personal stories of struggle and awakening, as an invitation and encouragement for readers to consider their own.

The author states that she felt called to write the book, through a dream, and was driven to complete it, not knowing how prescient it might prove to be. "The coronavirus pandemic has launched us all into a 'new era,' and we are awakening to critical, global realities on an almost daily basis," Carpenter states.

Judith will explain the concept of the “uninvited goddess” and discuss what this might signify for people and for their times. She will also read selections from her book and answering questions from the audience.

Judith Carpenter is an Episcopal priest and a resident of Rockland.
