Rockport — On Thursday, April 17, Mid-Coast Energy Systems of Damariscotta will exhibit information on geothermal heating and cooling at the second annual Energy Expo, hosted by Energy for ME.

Energy for ME is an energy education program of the Island Institute, involving 10 island and coastal communities. Students in grades 6-12 and their families learn how to better understand their communities' energy-consumption habits, as well as how to develop effective strategies to increase energy efficiency.

The Expo will be held from at 1 to 4 p.m. at Camden Hills Regional High School. The event is free and open to public. The Energy Expo is a networking opportunity for facility and maintenance staff of schools, businesses or organizations from Waldo, Washington and Knox counties. Businesses who offer green products, energy saving devices, alternative fuels, and professional development will be exhibiting.
