Rockland — Edward M. Kelley passed away of natural causes Thursday, July 16, 2020, on his 56th birthday in Lewiston.

Ed was born July 16, 1964, in Rockland to Leona M. Dillard and Richard E. Kelley Sr. He was the third son of four boys and was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Richard Kelley Jr. and his son, Matthew.

Ed grew up in Rockland and was a graduate of Rockland District High School. After graduation he moved to the Lewiston area where he was employed as a manager with the Dollar Tree Corporation.

Ed had a kind heart and was an old soul. He was a favorite uncle to his nieces and nephews and leaves behind a long list of broken-hearted friends. He was a kind and generous man who had a heart of gold and delighted in watching his son Matthew grow into the kind and free-spirited young man he became before he was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in 2019.

Ed is survived by his brother Rene and wife Cheryl of Lee, N.H., and his brother Walter (Buddy) and his wife Jesse of Greenbush. Private services will be held at the Achorn Cemetery in Rockland at the convenience of the family.
