Educator to discuss woman power with financials Nov. 19

Nov 10, 2019
Godfrey has studied and educated women on necessary financial goals for over two decades.

Tenants Harbor — Jackson Memorial Library, 71 Main Street, Tenants Harbor, is hosting financial educator Joline Godfrey Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 4 p.m. Joline will discuss the importance of women taking control of their financial futures. Wills and estate plans force women to be highly intentional about their own direct needs and wishes. This conversation will help lift some of the taboos surrounding a focus on the self, while offering basic information on what to do to make sure everyone's ‘final business’ is in shape.

Joline has been an innovator in financial education and well-being for families for over two decades. In 1992, she founded An Income of Her Own, a non-profit focused exclusively on financial education for girls and women. In 1996, she published No More Frogs to Kiss: 99 Ways to Give Economic Power to Girls. In 2003, she published Raising Financially Fit Kids, now a classic resource for building financial fluency in kids.
