Applications open for Islesboro magnet school

ISLESBORO -- Islesboro Central School is now accepting magnet applications for grades nine through 12 for the 2019-20 school year. ICS offers individualized academic and co-curricular opportunities through its Pathways program, as well as college planning support.

Prospective students, parents and caregivers are welcome to visit the Islesboro campus, where educators meld a competitive academic experience with an authentic Maine Island lifestyle. Thomaston woman named to dean's list at University of Rhode Island

KINGSTON, R.I. -- Emma Silverton of Thomaston qualified for the dean's list for the fall semester of 2018 at University of Rhode Island.

To be included on the dean's list, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality-point average.

Vannoy makes dean's list at Grove City College

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Jane Vannoy has been named to the dean's list at Grove City College. She is the daughter of Esther and Mark Vannoy of Waldoboro.

Local student on dean's list at Roger Williams University

BRISTOL, R.I. -- Kyle Waters of Spruce Head has made the dean's list for the fall 2018 semester at Roger Williams University. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade-point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the dean's list that semester.

University of New England announces fall 2018 dean's list

BIDDEFORD -- Josef Berger of Rockland and Tucker Prescott of Waldoboro have qualified for the dean's list at the University of New England. To be named to the dean's list, students must attain a grade-point average of 3.3 or better out of a possible 4.0 at the end of the semester.
