Burton named to dean's list at Assumption College

WORCESTER, Mass. -- Madeline Burton of Waldoboro has qualified for the dean's list at Assumption College for the spring 2018 semester. To earn a spot on the dean's list, Assumption students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester.

Thomaston woman makes dean's list at URI

KINGSTON, R.I. -- Emma Brooke Silverton of Thomaston qualified for the dean's list at University of Rhode Island for the spring 2018 semester. To be included on the dean's list, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality-point average.

Thomas College announces spring dean's list

WATERVILLE -- The following local students were named to the dean's list for the spring 2018 semester at Thomas College: Nathan Philbrook, of Rockland; Darrian Leonardi, of Thomaston; and Tracie Webster, of Vinalhaven.

Colby College announces local grads

WATERVILLE -- Two local students graduated from Colby College in May. They are Jacob O. Hyatt of Thomaston, who majored in English with a concentration in creative writing, and is the son of Melanie Hyatt of Thomaston, and Erik Hyatt of Farmingdale; and Amanda V. Young of Warren, who majored in biology and Spanish, and is the daughter of Lori Meservey of Warren, and Donald Young of Warren.

Tenants Harbor student graduates from Florida Gulf Coast

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Natalie Atwood of Tenants Harbor recently graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University.

Oceanside grad receives degree from Simpson College

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Fox Whitman of Rockland recently graduated from Simpson College with a bachelor's degree in biology.

Husson announces spring 2018 dean's, president's and honors lists

BANGOR -- The following local students have been named to the president's list at Husson University for the spring semester of 2018: Cassie Elizabeth Butler of Cushing; Abigail Paige Lacasse and Ainsley P. Meklin, both of Rockland; Erin F. Baudanza of South Thomaston; Sarah Michelle Gracie of Union; Hannah Elizabeth Smith of Waldoboro; and Chelsea L. Ripley of Warren.

Students who make the president's list must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade-point average of 3.80 to 4.0 during the period.

In addition, the following local students have ben named to the dean's list at Husson for the spring semester: Jonathan Raymond Cormier and Jaymie McMahon, both of Cushing; Shannon Marie Staples of Waldoboro; and Nathan D. Andrews of Warren.

Students who make the dean's list must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade-point average of 3.60 to 3.79 during the period.

Finally, the following local students have been named to Husson's honors list for the semester just completed: Shannon L. Ripley of Owls Head; Janelle Louise Fowlie of Rockland; Claudia Perez and Kaydin O. Frederick, both of Thomaston; Charlotte Ruth Strong-Ames of Union; Isaac C. Eutsler and Daniel Jeffery Thomas, both of Waldoboro.

Students who make the honors list must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade-point average of 3.4 to 3.59 during the period.

Waters makes dean's list at Roger Williams University

BRISTOL, R.I. -- Kyle Waters of Spruce Head was named to the dean's list at Roger Williams University for the spring 2018 semester. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade-point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the dean's list that semester.
