Local students named to University of New England dean's list

BIDDEFORD -- The following local students qualified for the dean's list at University of New England for the spring semester of 2017. Riley McCollett, of Friendship; Hannah Plourde and Karly Robinson of Rockland; Stephanie Hall and Ariele Rancourt of Waldoboro.

Rockland woman graduates from Simmons

BOSTON -- Brooke Lowell, of Rockland, recently earned a bachelor's degree magna cum laude from Simmons College. She majored in political science.

Billington receives faculty honors at Trinity

HARTFORD, Conn. -- Zoe E. Billington, of Rockland, was awarded faculty honors for the spring 2017 semester at Trinity College. Faculty honors are awarded to students with a semester GPA of at least 3.667 on four graded courses, with no individual grade below B-, and no incomplete grades pending.

Warren woman earns MBA from Western Governors

SALT LAKE CITY -- Erika Maschino of Warren has graduated from Western Governors University with a master's of business administration in IT management. She received her degree July 15.

Local students make deans' list at USM

PORTLAND -- The following local students have been named to the dean's list at University of Southern Maine for the spring 2017 semester. Part-time: Cynthia Simmons of Friendship; Hannah Miller of Waldoboro; full-time: Keenan Hendricks of Owls Head; Brooke Payne, Bryan Carleton, Aaron Clarke, James Nguyen, Jordan Carpenter and Rebecca Boggs, all of Rockland; Shea Davenport of Thomaston; Elly Baubonis of Union; Wilmot Dow and Isaiah Wadsworth, both of Waldoboro;

Full-time, undergraduate degree students (12 credit hours or more, with a minimum of 12 letter-graded credits, and excluding developmental credits), with a grade-point average of 3.4 or above are placed on the dean's list. Part-time students who meet the dean's list criteria are included in the spring semester dean's list each year.
