Dulcimer workshop at Rockport library

Mountain dulcimers and more will be shared Wednesday evening, June 11, at Rockport Public Library.

Rockport — Richard Robertson, a dulcimer enthusiast, will offer a free, public workshop on the history of the dulcimer, the different types of dulcimers and how to build one Wednesday, June 11, at 6:30 p.m. at Rockport Public Library, 1 Limerock St.

Attendees will learn the difference between a hammered dulcimer and an Appalachian dulcimer and will hear a variety of the instruments, which have a rich American history, played. For more information, call 236-3642.
