Rockport — The Rockport Police and Fire Departments responded to a single-vehicle crash just before 4 p.m. Jan. 31 near Downeast Publishing on Commercial Street.

According to Officer Chris Taylor, Trevor Taylor, 29, of Holden, was heading north on Route 1 in a Chevrolet Equinox when he said he fell asleep.

Taylor's vehicle crashed through the guardrails at Roxmont Road, then rolled onto the driver's side.

Taylor, who was out of the vehicle when first-responders arrived, was evaluated at the scene by North East Mobile Health.

Traffic in both directions was shut down for approximately a half-hour while Camden Exxon Mobil hauled the vehicle out of the woods and cleared the scene.
