Waldoboro — Dow Furniture’s Harvest Fest, in partnership with Cornerstone Financial Services of Waldoboro, was held Saturday, Oct. 26 and featured a free harvest lunch, Cornhole tournament, hay maze and mattress races.

"It was exciting to partner with great local Waldoboro business like Cornerstone to bring together an event the community could enjoy”, said Wilmot Dow, General Manager of Dow Furniture.

People from all over the midcoast came in to enjoy all the fun activities and the delicious lunch that featured hot dogs with Morse’s Sauerkraut with a pickle for a side, School House Farm apples and cider, Spear’s Farmstand muffins, and Moody’s Diner whoopie pie. Kids enjoyed running and playing in the harvest hay maze provided by Spear’s Farm and playing on the corn hole sets where the tournament was held earlier in the day.

Over $2,500 worth of prizes were won during the cornhole tournament, mattress races, and the Moody’s Diner Gift Card giveaway. The mattress races included a mattress flipping event, followed by push/pull mattress race where Rob Winslow of Union beat out the competition by two seconds to win a $1,799 Scott Living by Restonic Mattress.

Dow Furniture and Cornerstone Financial Services of Waldoboro look forward to putting on community focused events like this in the future. To find out more information about ongoing events and offers from the businesses, visit and
