Medford, N.J. — Dorothy Parker Nutt Packard Hull died peacefully April 21, 2017, at the age of 103 at Medford Leas in New Jersey. A memorial will be held in her honor Sunday, Sept. 17, at 10 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Camden, followed by a celebration at the Camden Snowbowl.

Born March 28, 1914, in Rockport, Dorothy had two long and successful marriages to Vernon L. Packard of Warren and James D. Hull of Morristown, N.J. A very skilled musician, she taught music as part of her teaching career in New York, California and Maine. In Camden, Dorothy was an active member of both the Congregational Church and Garden Club, and she frequently opened her home to international musicians, students and teachers. Men serving in the military far from their own homes found a warm welcome in her “home away from home” on holidays. An avid hiker and international traveler, she was active well into her 90s.

Dorothy is now reunited in heaven with husbands Vernon and Jim, daughter Jane Packard Kiely, and sisters Bunny Crockett and Hazel Spear.

Dot is survived by her son, Bob Packard, and daughter-in-law Kathy Packard; son-in-law Bill Kiely; sister Roberta Andrews; grandchildren Mary Joy Testerman, Bill Kiely, Rob Packard, Lisa Packard; and 13 great-grandchildren.
