Lincolnville — Dorothy Koski of Lincolnville passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019.

Dorothy was born May 25, 1932 in Medford, Massachusetts to Florence and Aldo Carmolli. She attended Medford schools, graduating from Medford High School in 1949.

Dorothy married her high school beau, Richard Koski, Feb. 22, 1951, and moved to Amherst, Mass. while Richard completed his college degree at UMass. In 1955, she traveled to Schweinfurt, Germany, for 18 months while her husband was stationed there in the US Army.

Upon returning, they lived in Berkley, Mass. on the Wirthmore Feeds Research Farm (1957 to 1965), then moved to Lincolnville in 1965.

Dorothy worked several years at the Down East Magazine, and later at the Linconlville Telephone Company until her retirement in 1997.

Dorothy enjoyed a lifetime of musical study and performance in percussion, voice, piano, and ultimately the organ. She has long been permanently associated with the music venue at the Christian Science Church in Camden, the United Christian Church in Lincolnville Center, and a most fulfilling position as organist and choir director at the John Street Methodist Church in Camden.

Dorothy leaves behind her husband, Richard of Lincolnville; her son R. Alan and his wife, Janet, of Weld. and Jonathan and his companion, Leslie Silvia of Rockland; her daughter Dawn of Lincolnville; her sisters Jane Ribble of Boothbay and Carole Heard and her husband Roy of Dallas, Texas; and her brothers E. Marston Carmolli and his wife, Ethel, of Scarborough and David Carmolli and his wife, Judy, of Sebring, Florida.

A private family service will take place at a later date.
