Documentary, Paint Night at Medomak Arts

A collaboration between Belfast-based Maine Farmland Trust and Seedlight Pictures, the three short “Growing Local” films document both the vibrancy and the growing pains of the local food movement in Maine.

Waldoboro — The nonprofit Medomak Arts, located at 13 Friendship St. in the village, continues its June series of events with a film screening and discussion; and a Paint Night.

“Growing Local”

Medomak Valley Land Trust and Medomak Arts continue their film series Tuesday evening, June 27, with a showing of the “Growing Local” (2014) series of short films. The evening will start at 6:30 p.m. with social time; the film will be shown at 7 p.m. There is a $5 suggested donation, with drinks and refreshments available. Paint Night

Artist Libbie Winslow is back for another fun Paint Night Thursday, June 29, beginning 6:30 p.m. Winslow will guide an acrylic painting session of a seasonal scene of a blossoming cherry tree glowing in the moonlight. Participants will go home with their own original painting to frame or give as a gift.
