Do you know how to make butter in a zip lock bag?

The Owl's Head Community Picnic will be a great place to learn  This fun event will be held Sunday July 20th, from Noon to 3pm at the Old Homestead at 453 Ash Point Dr. in Owl’s Head.  Everyone is welcome and the event is free although donations are accepted.  The butter churn we have used in the past will be at the picnic so folks can see how it used to be done, but we thought it would be fun to try something new.

This year will again feature bean-hole beans made by Maynard Stanley.  These beans are cooked the old fashioned way popular at picnics years ago, in a hole in the ground.  Since it is a potluck, everyone attending is asked to bring a casserole, salad, side dish, or appetizer to share.  The MRHS will provide hot dogs, drinks and ice cream cranked at the picnic.

This is an old-fashioned community picnic with games for all ages, music, craft demonstrations & great conversations with old and new friends.  Hope to see you there.
