Detroit blues, roaring into Rockland

Rockland — The weekly Monday night blues series continues March 25 with Eliza Neals & The Narcotics, playing a 7 to 10 p.m. show in the upstairs music room of Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Admission will be $15 at the door, which opens at 6 p.m.

Former opera singer Neals is a prolific songwriter, confident producer, arranger, bandleader, pianist and one-of-a-kind live performer. Motor City band Eliza Neals and the Narcotics combines modern electric blues and psychedelic rock with a twist of jam band and southern soul. Mentored by songwriting legend Barrett Strong Jr., Neals are turned out original compositions that have garnered a 2018 Detroit Black Music Award for Blues Artist of the Year and five Detroit Music Awards.

The weekly Monday series continues April 1 with Neil and The Vipers ($15); April 8, Dave Keller Band ($15); April 15, Brandon Santini ($15); April, 22 Peter "Hifi" Ward Band ($10); and April 29, Harper ($15). There also will be a special Thursday night concert April 11 with Biscuit Miller & The Mix ($15).
