December ArtLab for All Ages at CMCA

Nov 23, 2019

Rockland — The Center for Maine Contemporary Art (CMCA), 21 Winter St., invites artists of all ages to take inspiration from the current exhibition "Temporality: The Process of Time" to create their own original works of art during this month’s ArtLab for All Ages workshop on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 2 to 4 p.m.

In this first in a series of ArtLab workshops related to the "Temporality" exhibition, participants will look to the trompe l'oeil or "fool the eye" works of artist Carly Glovinski, then be prompted to create small mixed media pieces based on the intricate patterning found in everyday woven textiles and unexpected surfaces.

ArtLab for All Ages takes place on the first Saturday of every month. ArtLab is offered free of charge and open to all through the support of Wells Fargo, The Bob Crewe Foundation, The Cricket Foundation, First National Bank, Margaret E. Burnham Trust, Milton & Sally Avery Arts Foundation, Morton-Kelly Charitable Trust, Nellie Leaman Taft Foundation, Stephen & Tabitha King Foundation, and individual donors.
