Crash by Green Thumb ends with two in hospital

Rockport — A two-car crash by the Green Thumb in Rockport resulted in injuries. Both of the drivers were brought to Pen Bay Medical Center, Tuesday, July 28.

Roxanne Wakefield, 63, of Warren, was traveling west on Rockland street in a black 2010 Chryrsler with passenger Caryl Kolkin, 90, of Rockport. As Wakefield was driving she struck into the rear end of Jane Johanson’s, 2007 Volvo. Johanson, 53, of Hoboken, N.J., was waiting to turn left into the Green Thumb when Wakefield struck her vehicle.

The crash happened at approximately 2:15 p.m. Both Wakefield and Johanson were taken to Pen Bay Medical Center.

Police Chief Randy Gagne, Officer Travis Ford, Officer Celjeta Bixhaku, and Officer Tony Del Vecchio responded to the accident. The Rockport Fire Department also assisted.

The crash is still under investigation by Officer Ford, and Officer Bixhaku.
