Hope — Richard Crabtree has taken out nomination papers to run for the Select Board in the April 27 special election.

Crabtree seeks a two-year term.

He has previously served on the Select Board and represented the area in Maine's State House as a Republican. Retired, he had a career in finance, including serving as a vice president at CMP and working in the fiber optics industry.

Wendy Pelletier, also a Republican and former Select Board, member has also taken out nomination papers for a one-year seat.

Also taking out nomination papers is William Matteson. He is seeking a three-year term on the Budget Committee in the June 8 regular election. Nomination papers for both elections are due April 9. He has recently been serving as a columnist for The Camden Herald.

The Select Board has vacancies to fill.

Amy Gertner and Thomas Ingraham recently resigned from the Select Board.

Bruce Haffner is the subject of a recall petition, and residents will decide in June whether to remove him from the board.

Lewis Merrifield has resigned from the Planning Board.

Elinor Goldberg faces recall from the Budget Committee.

The Select Board has discussed the possibility of removing Langley Willauer from the Planning Board. The position is appointed and his term expires this year.
