The Courier-Gazette in Rockland (Est. 1846), The Camden Herald in Camden (Est. 1869) and The Republican Journal in Belfast (Est. 1829) are locally owned and operated weekly newspapers covering Midcoast Maine. The publications focus on community news in Knox and Waldo counties and keep citizens connected to important events and issues on their related websites throughout the week.

The companion websites for our three community newspapers are Knox.VillageSoup.com and Waldo.VillageSoup.com. While there is some duplication in readership, the websites generate traffic, participation and revenue above and beyond that of traditional newspaper websites. The sites feature content from the three papers along with posts from community members, businesses and organizations.
