Rockland — The Monday Night Blues series continues June 26 with a 7 to 10 p.m. concert by Frank Bang & The Cook County Kings in the upstairs music room of Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Admission will be $10 at the door.

Chicago-born and –bred Frank Bang worked his way up through the ranks to play with blues legend Buddy Guy. He was Guy’s guitar player for five years, a perfect fit for a player who said, in every band he ever played in, “no matter funk or rock … I was always the Blues Guy in the band.”

His own band, Frank Bang & the Secret Stash, is a blues-rock powerhouse, transformed into The Cook County Kings in support of “The Blues Don’t Care,” a 2016 album recorded in a single day. These musicians are more than ready to blues-rock ‘n’ roll in Rockland.

Next up in the weekly series are: July 3, Murray Kinsley & Wicked Grin ($10); and July 10, Gracue Curran Band ($15). Shows are subject to change.
