“Concussion: Identification and Treatment of an Invisible Injury," with Dr. Rebecca Gleeson

Dr. Rebecca Gleeson will speak on the subject of concussions at the Rockport Opera House.

As awareness around concussion increases in response to mounting evidence that these injuries can have significant effects, it is important to develop clarity regarding identification and treatment options to maximize a good outcome. Dr. Gleeson’s presentation will explain the basics about concussion, including signs and symptoms used in identifying these injuries, the varying presentations and recovery trajectories that can occur, and the individualized way in which wide-ranging treatment options are now being used to actively manage and effectively treat concussion.

Dr. Rebecca Gleeson of Neuropsychology and Concussion Management Associates (NCMA) is a Maine Licensed Psychologist, Specializing in Clinical Neuropsychology. She provides comprehensive clinical neuropsychological evaluations to address wide-ranging neurological needs, as well as concussion management services for school-aged children, adolescents and adults
