Thomaston — A project that has been in the works for more than a year came to fruition Oct. 31 as the top of the community gazebo on Thomaston Green was installed.

The bandstand, which is 30 feet in diameter, was constructed by students at Mid-Coast School of Technology.

Town Manager Valmore Blastow said there is still some work to be done on it, but the long- term plan is for community use to be determined by the Board of Selectmen.

Crews from Dwight Henry's Crane Service were used for the task.
