Holly Berry Christmas Fair Nov. 17

WARREN — The Second Congregational Church of Warren, 252 Main St. in Warren Village will hold a Holly Berry Christmas Fair on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be crafts, books, cookie walk, Grandma's attic, baked goods, turkey raffles, new items. There will be a turkey luncheon, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $7 adults, $3.50 children. All are welcome, free admission and handicapped entrance.

Warren craft fair

WARREN — There will be a craft fair on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Warren Odd Fellows Hall, located on the corner of Routes 1 and 90 in Warren. More than 20 vendors will have lots of handmade items, including quilts, afghans, pickles, cakes, doilies, needlepoint, table runners, mittens, picture cards and jewelry. Lunch will be available at the hall, prices are reasonable. Raffles, including 50/50, will be drawn throughout the day.

Friendship holiday fair

FRIENDSHIP — There will be a holiday fair on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Friendship Methodist Church. There will be baked goodies, homemade candy, boutique items, kitchen items and hand knits. Also free coffee and muffins.

Thanksgiving pie sale

WALDOBORO — Need a pie or two for Thanksgiving? Consider getting them at the Thanksgiving Pie Sale on Monday, Nov. 19 at the Waldoboro Public Library. Trustees, staff, and volunteers will don their aprons to provide a wide selection of delicious homemade pies for that holiday dinner. The sale begins when the library opens at noon, and will go until all the pies are sold. Most of the pies will be priced at $12, with all of the proceeds to benefit the library. Thanksgiving Eve service

ST. GEORGE — The St. George Area Churches are conducting a Thanksgiving Eve service at the Port Clyde Advent Christian Church on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m.

Come and join the Baptist churches of Wileys Corner, Tenants Harbor, Ridge, Port Clyde and the Advent Christian Church as the congregations give thanks for all that the Lord has done. For more information contact co-pastors Walden and Elaine Chandler at 691-0450.

Friendship Village School Holiday Craft Fair

FRIENDSHIP — On Saturday, Nov. 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be a holiday craft fair at the Friendship Village School. Lobster rolls, chowder, hot dogs, bake sale, many local handcrafted items.

Coast Guard Chili Challenge

ROCKLAND — The second annual high noon Coast Guard Chili Challenge has been rescheduled to Friday, Nov. 30 at the Maine Lighthouse Museum, 1 Park Drive.

Competing will be Thunder Bay, Abbie Burgess, Tackle and the Station.

Civilian entries are also welcome. Bring the entry for the 2012 Chili Challenge to the Maine Lighthouse Museum; tasting will begin at noon. Entries can be dropped off starting at 10 a.m.

All personnel and their families are invited to participate and vote for their favorite chili.

Prizes will be awarded for best chili in the Coast Guard and Civilian categories. Plus there will be a vote for “Peoples Choice”.

Holiday bazaar

THOMASTON — On Saturday, Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the Thomaston Federated Church will host the Christmas is for Children Bazaar. The sale, which benefits Thomaston Food Pantry, will feature Christmas crafts, baked goods, books, grandma's attic and toiletries. Enjoy free coffee and snacks and a free door prize drawing. The church is located at 8 Hyler St.

Holiday Bazaar at Merryspring

CAMDEN — On Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be the annual Holiday Bazaar at Merryspring Nature Center.

The bazaar is where shoppers find a variety of plants, greens, wreaths, live arrangements and lots of unique handmade gifts for holiday giving and decorating. The bazaar will be open to members only on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 2 to 6 p.m.

New Spruce Head Community Hall board

SPRUCE HEAD — The Annual Meeting of the Spruce Head Community Hall Association was held on Sept. 10. The following were elected:

President Lucy Levenseler; Vice President Georgia Hansen; Secretary Terrie Sasek; Assistant Secretary Terry Morris; Treasurer Eileen Spectre; Assistant Treasurer Larry Sementini. Trustees — Louise Kinney, Roy Morris, Dean Sasek and Lou Violette.
