Rockland — Landing Place staff to speak at library July 16

ROCKLAND -- Ben Cooke, shelter solutions cooridnator for The Landing Place, will speak at the Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St., July 16 at 6:30 p.m. He will talk about the teen shelter and the launch of its Host Home program. For more information, call 594-0310.

Knox Clinic to celebrate 20 years with party in the park July 20

ROCKLAND The Knox Clinic will hold a party in honor of its 20th anniversary at MacDougal Community Park, 330 Broadway July 20 from 4 to 8:30 p.m.

Admission is free and festivities will include dancing to Hoodoo Man Band, lawn games for kids and adults, food and beverages from Hot Dog Mafia, Baxter Brewing and Cellardoor Winery. For more information, call 301-6991.

Volunteers sought for community picnic July 27

ROCKLAND -- Radio station WRFR and the Rockland Public Library need volunteers for a free community picnic at MacDougal Park, 330 Broadway, July 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is space for local nonprofits, artists and craftspeople, people wanting to organize games and activities, and other opportunities. Exhibitors may sell items, but must provide a free demonstration of what they do and how they do it. Exhibitors must provide their own tents, tables and chairs.
