Maine Audubon education director to speak about Maine birds and habitats

The Camden Public Library, 55 Main St., will host the presentation Bringing Nature Home, on Maine birds and their habitats, Thursday, March 21, at  7 p.m. Eric Topper, Maine Audubon’s director of education, will discuss what individuals and groups can do to bring nature into their back yard, including what plants to choose and how to manage and maintain gardens for their full ecological function and benefit. "Special Treasures" sale at John Street United Methodist Church

The John Street United Methodist Church, 98 John St., Camden, will offer  a “Special Treasures” sale - new or gently used household or personal item that could be just what someone else would enjoy having -  March 30, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will also be baked goods, including cakes, pies, breads, cookies and preserves. The sale will benefit local charities.
